Window

I wrote another poem yesterday & translated it today. It is called 'Window'. The harder words for me are in italics.

Window
Window, places that you see,
Surely you know much more than me.
Look, you’ve an open eye,
Watching as the world moves by.

Window, nothing escapes your gaze,
Not a flicker, nor a quiver, never in your days.
Window, another year has gone, the frost etched a little smile on your face,
While the snow falls so full of grace.

Window, see that crack on your pane,
That ivy, entwining itself upon your frame?
For window, time has flown & so have you,
And your knowledge has grown with you, too.

窗戶

窗戶，你見過不同的地方，
你一定知道比我多。
你看，你有個大眼睛，
望著地球旋轉。

窗戶，沒有東西能逃過你的觀察，
沒有任何閃爍和顫動。
窗戶，又一年過去了，
當雪從天上幽雅的飄落時，
霜在你臉上蝕刻了一個微笑。

窗戶，你看到你玻璃上的裂縫嗎？
那常春藤編織在窗框之上？
因為窗戶，時間飛逝, 你也老了，
而你的知識也跟著你成長。

Molecules 化學分子

Molecules:
A molecule is 2 or more atoms bonded together. It is normally the smallest bit of a substance that exists independantly. The atoms in a molecule are held together b chemichal bonds. The shape of a molecule depends on the arrangement of bonds that holds its atoms together. A carbon dioxide molecule consists of 1 carbon atom & 2 oxygen atoms & has the chemical formula CO2. Compounds only exist as molecules. If the atoms in the molecule were separated, the compound would cease to exist. Chemical formulas show the atoms in a molecule.The mass of a molecule is called the molecular mass. It is worked out by adding the mass of all the atoms in it.

Fascinating Facts:
1. A crystal is built out of billions of identical molecules.
2. If the DNA molecule in every human body cell were as thick as a hair, it would be 8 kilometres long.

Darknesse

I wrote a poem yesterday & I also translated it into Chinese.
Here it is:
Darknesse

Darkness is closing in,
A cloak gathering up your sin,
The wind whispers in his ears.
Do you think your pleas he hears?

Has he shown mercy on people ever?
The answer is no, never.
So be careful of where you tread outside tonight,
In case darkness is to come in sight.

But if you see darkness around,
Don’t be afraid, stay sound.
For darkness is a lonely man,
Who wanders through the night till dawn.


黑暗

黑暗把你包圍住，
風在跟他說秘密。
一件斗蓬包住你，
永遠不放你走。

他對人們有慈悲心嗎？
答案是沒有。
所以小心今晚你出外時，
也許黑暗會忽然出現。

但如果你真的看到他的話，
噓。。。別急。
因為黑暗是個孤獨的人，
荒涼的在夜晚裡,
流浪到黎明。

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows

Dear All,
I have finished reading the last of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows. (About a week ago on the plane to Tianjin). I personally think the Harry Potter series is quite extraordinary & that J.K.Rowling (Joanne Kathleen Rowling)is one of the best authors I have ever known. In this final instalment of the Harry Potter series, J.K.Rowling unveils in spectacular fashion the answers to many questions that have been so eagerly awaited. The spell-binding, richly woven narrative, which plunges, twists & turns at a breathtaking pace, confirms the author as the mistress of storytelling, whose books will be read, reread & read again.

About the book:
Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous & seemingly impossible task that of locating & destroying Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes. Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. But Harry must somehow find within himself the strength to complete the task that he has been given. He must leave the warmth, safety & companionship of The Burrow & follow without fear or hesitation the inexorable path laid out for him.
