A Day at the Seaside

Running towards the open sea, a scent of salt-water wafted past my nose. I could hear the younger children shrieking with delight. The older kids could be seen snorkeling & surfing in the distance. No one could ever be blue at this time. So I strolled along the the sandy beach whilst looking for shells at the same time. The water washed up different seaweeds , shells & mermaid's purses. I took some of the shark eggs but none of the shells were that beautiful. Suddenly, I could see a small glimpse of pink buried under the sand. Rushing across, I started to dig downwards deeper & deeper into the sand. At first I thought it was only an old pice of glass ( I could only see the point then) but kept on digging until I saw a gorgeous conch lying untouched. Why should it be here? shouldn't it be in the sea?It was smothered in sand so I dipped it into a small rock pool. Fearing that the crabs might destroy the shell, or my fingers, I stood as still as a clump of dry seaweed. Starting to walk again, I tried to find a comfortable place to rest.

Perched on a gigantic rock, I dappled my feet in the clear, turqoise sea. Beside me was the pale pink conch which I picked up close to my ears. Hearing the gentle waves was like a person whispering to me. Fingering it carefully, I could tell it was half-covered in limpets. Then I looked back down at the rolling waves of the tide. So I put that ineffable conch back to where it should belong. That was an impressive shellfish, even though it wasn't very smooth. With nothing to do, I bounded into the liquid. The salt water stung my eyes as if I cried all night although I do not mind since it was ever so amuzing splashing around in warm water as though I was in my younger years. Below me were some tropical-coloured corals & brightly coloured fish that made me feel that I was part of a rainbow. All around me there were tiny fishes heading out to the depths of the water, but I dare not follow them since I had not prepared for miles of swimming. Also, another excuse is that I dislike the sight of murky water!

That was an unforgettable day in my life. Afterwards we had an ice-lolly for a treat. Exhausted but content with the fun, I had an inner thought that I wanted to go back & take the conch for my fish tank at home, but then leaving it by the shore is the best habitat for it to live in. I'd recommend you to go to the beach because once you are there you will be enchanted by the aquatic community. You may think it was a profound decision. Even though it might take a perpetual journey, it is still worth it. The beach is a really fascinating & wonderful place that will fulfill your holiday dreams.

Music Alone Shall Live

Today at choir I learnt a new song. Here it is:

Music Alone Shall Live

All things shall perish under the sky,
Music alone shall live,
Music alone shall live,
Music alone shall live,
Never to die.

我今天在合唱團學了一首新的歌.

只有音樂會存在
天下的東西都有毀滅的一天,
音樂會存在,
音樂會存在,
音樂會存在,
永遠不會死.

Museum Memories

Museum Memories (By: Jenna yeh)
Museum, oh museum
Look at my eyes, deep
Open my memories,
And what do you see?

I, perched on a bronze oxen,
With gold for horns
Or just relaxing in the park below
With friends, watching the squirrels flee.

Museum, oh museum
Look at my eyes, deep
Open my memories
And what do you see? … …
